Privacy Policy

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the CornerWISE mobile application and the cornerwise.app website handle information. CornerWISE is developed and published by Zsolt Hornok.

This policy covers CornerWISE versions that use Google Mobile Ads, as well as the cornerwise.app website. CornerWISE does not require an account and does not use cloud-based game services or developer-operated analytics.

2. Information handled by the app

The CornerWISE mobile application does not require registration and does not ask you to provide personal or sensitive user data. It does not access contacts, photos, microphone, camera or precise location.

The following information is stored locally on your device:

• game settings and visual preferences;
• local leaderboard entries and game results;
• in-game IQ Points and karate-inspired belt progress;
• used hints and locally calculated performance statistics;
• basic app preferences such as language and vibration settings.

This local information is not transmitted to Zsolt Hornok or to an external game server. Depending on your device settings, the operating system may include local app data in a device backup. Those backups are controlled by your device platform and account settings.

If you choose the Backup & Transfer feature, CornerWISE creates a protected backup file containing local leaderboard results and progression data. You decide where to save or share that file using your device's file interface. Importing a backup reads only the file you select. Backup files are not sent to Zsolt Hornok or to a developer-operated server.

3. Device permissions

CornerWISE may use the device's vibration or haptic function to provide gameplay feedback. This functionality does not collect personal information.

4. Advertising and consent

CornerWISE uses Google Mobile Ads, provided by Google LLC, to display banner, interstitial and optional rewarded advertisements. A rewarded advertisement is requested only when you choose to use an in-game hint, and a hint is granted only after the advertisement has been completed. Depending on your device, region, consent choices and platform settings, Google and its advertising partners may process information such as:

• IP address and general device information;
• advertising identifiers when available and permitted by your device settings;
• ad impressions, interactions and diagnostic information;
• consent status and privacy choices used to determine which ads may be shown.

Where required, CornerWISE asks for your advertising consent before requesting ads and provides a privacy-options control in the app settings. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized in accordance with your choices and applicable law. You can also manage advertising permissions and identifiers in your device settings.

5. Website and technical information

The cornerwise.app website does not use advertising, analytics trackers or developer-operated marketing cookies. Like most websites, its hosting infrastructure may temporarily process standard technical request information such as an IP address, browser type and request time to deliver the website securely and reliably. Zsolt Hornok does not use this information to create user profiles.

The website includes the official CornerWISE trailer using YouTube's privacy-enhanced embedded player. Loading or playing the video may send technical information such as your IP address, browser information and page interaction to Google or YouTube and may use device storage according to their settings and policies. 6. Contact information

If you contact us by email, we receive the email address and information that you voluntarily include in your message. This information is used only to respond to your request, provide support and maintain necessary correspondence.

7. Sharing of information

We do not sell personal data. Information from support correspondence is not shared except when necessary to operate the email service, comply with a legal obligation, protect rights or prevent abuse.

Google and its advertising partners may process advertising data as described above. App stores, operating-system providers, email providers and website-hosting services may also process information under their own privacy policies when you use their services.

8. Data retention and deletion

Locally stored game information remains on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app, subject to any device backups you control.

Support emails are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain relevant records or comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your support correspondence using the contact address below.

Advertising data is retained by Google and its partners under their own retention policies. Privacy and advertising choices can be revisited in CornerWISE settings or your device settings.

9. Children's privacy

CornerWISE is not specifically directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information. Advertising is configured and served subject to the age audience and consent settings declared for the app.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the limited information described in this policy. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when CornerWISE gains new features, services or third-party integrations. The latest version will remain available on this page with its revision date.
